In any process of transformation, there is both creation and destruction. Creating space for new narratives to emerge means that old narratives need to fade or change. But dominant narratives, like neoliberal capitalism, are deeply embedded and seem ‘normal’ to many. A critical view is important to point out the inconsistencies – even absurdities – of existing narratives and open up spaces for new narratives to grow.
